High on the slopes of Mt Elgon at Sipi Falls in Kapchorwa, Pete discovered a 660-year coffee legacy being carried forward by remarkable women roasters—Mamma Teddy and Mamma Joy. Their farms are situated on rich volcanic soil under Mount Elgon where the coffee grows naturally enjoying full sunshine and evenly distributed relief rainfall. To achieve the highest quality, Sipi Elgon Arabica coffee is handpicked and washed, pulp fermented and grade sorted, then dried to the recommended moisture content and processed. This coffee is rich, full bodied and well balanced in flavor with the unique natural taste of brown sugar citrus with hints of vanilla.
